Studio Policy
Class Placement
Returning students are placed into fall classes based on teacher recommendations from the prior spring. It is our policy to place new students into class based on prior experience and age. If there is a question as to placement we will place the child in the lower level rather than higher. We would rather have to move a child up a level if necessary, than ask a child to move down.
Please know that the first month of classes is used as an evaluative time for ALL students. We are aware that many children grow and mature over the summer, and that our new students may be incorrectly placed. Teachers may move students around at any time during the month of September. Thank you for your patience during this month of adjustment.
Tuition, Payments & Fees
See back of registration form for tuition costs.
Tuition can be paid by the month, trimester, or in full. Monthly payments are due on the first of each month. Trimester payments are due: September 1, December 1, and March 1.
We offer discounted hourly rates for multi-class enrollments and families.
Costume deposits are due on October 1 for students with multiple classes. Costume balances and payments for students with only one class are due by November 1. Costume deposits and payments are non-refundable.
Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 charge. Payments later than 30 days will be charged $10 per month.
Refund Policy
Please note that enrollment at Raquelle’s Dance and Fitness is a school year commitment. No portion of tuition, registration, or costume fees — paid or outstanding — is refunded should a student withdraw, be absent, or be dismissed from the school.
We believe that dance should be both enjoyable and fun, as well as a learning experience. Learning to honor one’s commitments is a lifelong lesson. We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise, and will work with the parent and child to help address them.
Closed Classes
In order to keep distractions to a minimum and provide your children with the most beneficial conditions for learning, classes are closed to observation. We understand that parents are curious about what is going on in class, but we do not have the full attention of your child when parents are present in the classroom.
If the studio doors are closed, please do not open them. If you need your child for any reason and I am not in the office, please knock and a teacher will assist you. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Communication
We feel that communication is central to a well-run studio. The preferred method is through e-mail; however, hard copies of most communications can usually be found in the waiting room. Monthly or semi-monthly newsletters are e-mailed home with important dates and upcoming events. Please take the time to read these and keep yourself updated.
If you are not receiving information regularly, please check in with the office — we may have your e-mail address incorrect or not on file.
